Choosing the right video card for your computer can be a daunting task. There are so many different options to consider and it can be difficult to know which one is best for you. However, selecting a good video card has its rewards as it allows users to enjoy better graphics performance and higher frame rates while gaming and in work tasks such as CAD or 3D-modelling. Tom's Hardware recently published an actual ranking of all graphic cards according to their price-to-performance ratios.
If you're looking for the best graphics card which fits your budget, it can be a difficult choice. Some people are AMD loyalists while others swear by Nvidia cards. But with prices constantly changing and previous-gen hardware being phased out, how do we decide? To make this easier, you will find a list of current and past generations GPUs ranked on value in this article. Now you can effortlessly select the perfect graphic card to suit both your budget and needs.
It is essential to note that older cards, such as RTX 20-series and RX 5000-series, are not included. Nonetheless, there is a few Turing generation Nvidia cards since these models can still be acquired at affordable prices. All performance data was collected from Tom's Hardware GPU benchmarks hierarchy where it has been divided into rasterization and ray tracing rankings. Lastly, the three GPU vendor rankings have been provided so you can easily compare GPUs within one company. Also, if you decideв to assemble a completely new PC, then you will probably be interested in reading our dedicated material.
Rasterization Performance Ranking
When we sort the rasterization rankings by 1080p, some of the GPUs get penalized in performance. However, if you're looking for 4K or 1440p results instead, then there may be a rearranging of placements—though the overall rankings stay more or less consistent. Turns out, AMD RX 6700 XT is currently providing the utmost value. AMD also holds second and third place with their RX 6600 and RX 6650 XT models both costing more than they did several months ago. The best Nvidia value right now goes to the GTX 1660 Ti, one of the most poplular graphic cards. The next one is NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1660 Super. But if you need a card with RT. turns out that NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 is currently most reasonable choice. The top ten is closed by the Intel Arc A750 video card. In terms of value, the latest-generation graphic cards all rank toward the bottom of the list because of high pricing.

Ray-tracing Ranking
When it comes to ray tracing benchmarks, if the focus is on the 1080p results, though these tests are intensive enough that 4K and 1440p rankings mostly stay in place, currently the most economical end up being Nvidia's RTX 3070. Of course, if you ready to buy Chinese no-name manufacturer video card, the rating will be different. But today we are speaking about well-known brands. The best 5 graphics cards in terms of value for gaming with ray tracing are GeForce RTX models. While the best AMD card for ray tracing is the RX 6700 XT. Two newcomers from Intel are currently in the middle of our ranking.
At the lower end, AMD's RX 6400 and RX 6500 XT are unable to properly facilitate 1080p gaming with ray tracing. The RTX 3090 Ti and 3090 come next, followed by the 7900 XTX — costing $300 more than its MSRP price. Furthermore, even when priced high above market value, both NVIDIA's RTX 4090 surpasses the overpriced 3080 12GB and RX 6800 XT in performance capabilities. Ultimately, it's clear that high-end and extreme GPUs aren't the best value for your money currently.
