Amazon wants to buy streaming service with 300 million users

Amazon has started talks to acquire India's biggest streaming service. It is called MX Player.

Amazon is in discussions to buy MX Player with Times Internet, which acquired the Indian streaming service for $140 million in 2018. The value of the potential deal has not yet been specified.

MX Player has an audience of 300 million users, including 150 million users in India. The service provides free access to cable channels and the player supports a large number of video formats and is available for Android smartphones. These are the key ingredients for success.

Amazon is not the only one showing interest in the streaming video service. Sony and Zee wouldn't mind buying MX Player either.
