iPhone users get Picture-in-Picture support for video calls on WhatsApp

Meta has added a useful new innovation to the WhatsApp for iPhone app.

Here's What We Know

It's about the Picture-in-Picture feature for video calls. That is, messenger users can now see themselves and their conversation partner in a small window while doing other things on the iPhone. Previously, when closing the call window, the video was automatically paused.

By the way, Picture-in-picture feature has been available on iPhone since iOS 14, but WhatsApp developers have implemented it in the application only now.

When We Can Expect It

The new version of the app with Picture-in-Picture feature can already be downloaded from the App Store.
