Lionel Messi orders £175,000 worth of gold iPhones for Argentina

All members of Argentina's national football team will receive a gold iPhone to celebrate their victory at the 2022 World Cup in Qatar. Lionel Messi gave this gift to the players and staff.

Here's What We Know

The Argentine forward, who was voted the best footballer at the World Cup, ordered 35 iPhones plated with 24-carat gold. The entire batch cost £175,000 ($210,00).

The back of each smartphone was engraved with the name, number and logo of the Argentine team. The design was developed by iDesing Gold.
