Iron Gate has no plans to release the exploratory Valheim on PlayStation. The game is available only on PC and Xbox

The exploration game with Valheim elements was released in 2021 on PC, but recently appeared on Xbox consoles and entered the Game Pass library. However, the developers do not plan to release the game on other consoles yet.

Here's What We Know

On the Xbox Expansion Pass podcast, one of the game's developers, Jonathan Smårs, was asked if we should expect Valheim to be released on PlayStation. Jonathan replied: "At the moment we are only looking at Xbox, but you never know." So it's quite possible that someday players will be able to play Valheim not only on Xbox or PC, but also on PlayStation or even Nintendo Switch, but it's clearly not in the near future.

Flashback

Valheim takes place in the Scandinavian mythology, where players (alone or in a team of up to 10 people) need to survive, build their own settlement with castles, farms, meaderies, and everything they want. You can also create your own ship to go in search of new lands. In addition to construction and exploration, the game also has a combat system. In Valheim, you can meet various mythical creatures that need to be destroyed.

In the first month of release, the game sold more than 5 million copies.
