5 Sonos smart speaker models gain support for Spatial Audio in Apple Music

Sonos has released a new version of its proprietary app (15.2) with a useful feature.

This is the ability to listen to music on the Apple Music streaming service with surround sound (Spatial Audio). The innovation is available for the Sonos Arc, Sonos Arc SL, Sonos Beam (Gen 2) and Sonos Era 300 smart speakers. The new feature will automatically be available in the app after the update.

Spatial Audio is a mode that allows you to listen to spatial sound that comes from above, to the sides and to the sides. Apple announced the technology at the WWDC conference in 2021.
