The first photo of the back panel of Samsung Galaxy S9: there will not be a dual camera

The network has already been rumored that in the new generation of Samsung's flagship only the older model Galaxy S9 + will receive a dual main camera. Now they have received confirmation in the form of a photo of the back panel of Galaxy S9 - the cutout is clearly designed for only one module plus a fingerprint scanner .

Why is that?

Insiders do not say anything about the reasons for the deliberate simplification of the Samsung Galaxy S9. Perhaps in a more compact package there was no room for a dual camera, or the Korean giant decided to reduce the cost of production of the flagship, so as not to raise prices for a standard model. Memory and other components of smartphones are becoming more expensive, taking into account the increase in characteristics in each new generation, this gives a noticeable increase in value. As a result, Samsung Galaxy S9 will not get the function of double optical zoom and portrait mode with background blur.

In previous leaks, it was reported that the Galaxy S9 will receive an "infinite" display Super AMOLED with a diagonal of about 5.7 inches and a ratio of 18.5: 9, and the amount of RAM is 4 GB versus 6 GB for S9 +. Depending on the region, different processors will be used, we will have versions with the company's chipset Exynos 9810. Protection from water and dust according to the IP68 standard, too, has not gone anywhere. On the eve of the network there were photos of the front panels. It was rumored that Samsung could get rid of the bottom of the screen, but at the last minute the company decided to postpone it, and in front of the novelties, they differ little from the Galaxy S8 and S8 +:

When the announcement?

As expected, the presentation of Samsung Galaxy S9 and S9 + will be held at the MWC 2018 in Barcelona.
