Update Xiaomi Mi A1 to Android 8.0 Oreo suspended

On New Year's Eve Xiaomi released the long-awaited Android 8.0 Oreo for the smartphone Mi A1. The company wanted it better, but it turned out "as always" - after a few weeks, the upgrade had to be abandoned due to serious mistakes.

Something went wrong?

Some owners of the Xiaomi Mi A1 complained about the slow launch of the camera (up to 5 seconds), the rapid discharge of the battery with Bluetooth on, problems with the application for dialing and a noticeable deterioration of the sound in the headphones. From the firmware flicks of the fingerprint scanner have disappeared, and the button of recently launched programs sometimes ceases to respond to pressing. And this is not a complete list.

Some of the detected bugs have already been fixed in beta versions, and the dialer can be "revived" by itself, by removing the MyJio application or by preventing it from accessing the phone in the permissions settings.

What's next?

The developers promise to eliminate errors in the next few weeks. After that, the company will resume the upgrade of Xiaomi Mi A1 to Android 8.0 Oreo.

Problems with the update arose and in OnePlus, meanwhile Samsung is in no hurry and continues to test the firmware for its flagships in the beta program.
