Meizu will not abandon the processors MediaTek in their smartphones

In the past, Meizu mainly used MediaTek processors on most of its smartphones. But sometimes, in the flagships, she installed the chipsets Exynos from Samsung.

Recently, the manufacturer introduced a new inexpensive smartphone Meizu M6S , which was equipped with an Exynos 7872 processor, and before that was the Meizu M6 Note with Qualcomm Snapdragon 625. Therefore, many suggested that Meizu will abandon the MediaTek chipset in its devices.

Senior Vice President Jeffery Yang (Jeffery Yang) denied this and said that the company is not going to abandon the processors MediaTek. Later, in the Chinese microblogging service Weibo (analogue of Twitter), Jan explained that the manufacturer will choose the processors depending on the needs and popularity of the chipsets themselves. This means that in the future Meizu will be able to use Samsung and Qualcomm processors for flagships, and budget devices will equip SoC from MediaTek.
