The holiday season Apple shipped iPhone 77.3 million to $ 61.4 billion, equivalent to 51% of total revenues from all manufacturers. Last year, this figure was 48.5%. As experts say, thanks to the launch of the jubilee iPhone X, the average selling price of the smartphone jumped to $ 796 - almost three times more than the market as a whole.

The revenue of Samsung's mobile unit is more modest - $ 18.9 billion. During the year, the share of the Korean giant in global sales increased from 14.5% to 15.7%, and the average selling price increased by 21% to $ 254. Closes the top three Chinese Huawei, whose revenues amounted to $ 8.4 billion (about 7%). The company has the most modest average cost of gadgets at $ 205.

Less does not mean worse

Against the background of falling sales of devices in pieces, manufacturers aimed at the upper price segment. This approach allowed companies from the top 3 to increase business profitability, while the share of other players in the category "other" fell from 30.5% in the fourth quarter of 2016 to 26.2%.
