In addition to the MWC 2018: ASUS released ZenFone 5 and 5Z - its versions of the frameless iPhone X , ASUS showed on the MWC 2018 an inexpensive and more compact version of last year's Zenfone Max Plus (M1) model called Zenfone Max (M1).

ASUS Zenfone Max (M1) received a metal case, a 5.5-inch HD + screen with an aspect ratio of 18: 9. The display occupies 83% of the front panel of the smartphone. At the heart of the novelty is the Snapdragon 430 processor with Adreno 505 graphics, 3 gigabytes of embedded and 32 gigabytes of internal memory. The main dual camera is equipped with a 13 Mp module with a f / 2.0 aperture. The additional module is wide-angle, at 8 Mp, with a viewing angle of 120 degrees. Available shooting 4K-video, as well as proprietary technology ASUS PixelMaster, which includes HDR and imposes other effects on the photo.

The battery of new items received a volume of 4000 mAh. It is possible to charge other gadgets and smartphones. According to the creators, one charge is enough for 23 hours when using Wi-Fi and up to 40 hours in 4G mode. There is a fingerprint scanner, a face recognition sensor and a slot for two SIM cards. The NFC module did not load. On the price so far nothing is known, and the appearance on sale is to wait in the spring.
