Apple Watch Series 9 and Watch Ultra 2 owners are complaining about flickering displays. Apple has acknowledged the problem and promises to fix it

Recently, the number of complaints from owners of Apple Watch Series 9 and Watch Ultra 2 smart watches about the performance of the displays has been increasing on forums. Apple has already recognised the problem and promised to fix the bug.

Here's What We Know

According to an internal service memo provided to Apple authorised service providers today, some Apple Watch models may experience screen flickering when Always On display mode is enabled. Apple doesn't specify which models these are, but the problem appears to be most prevalent on Apple Watch Series 9 and Apple Watch Ultra 2 models.

Apple is urging service providers not to repair such watches, but to advise customers to update the software. It looks like the company will soon release an update with a fix for this bug. This will probably be the watchOS 10.1 version, which is expected to be released next week.

In the meantime, users can disable the Always On feature in the watch settings for the time being.
