Software translators have tightened their knowledge in the past couple of years. Translation of popular languages is already similar to coherent and readable sentences. Less popular languages, for example Chinese, still suffer from a stupid and ruthless machine translation.
Here, Microsoft comes to the rescue, claiming to create an artificial intelligence that can translate humanly from the Chinese language. The secret of the success of an interpreter lies in the method of teaching.
How it works
Microsoft did not use standard machine translation and turned to neural networks. The company hired two translators who are equally fluent in Chinese and English. Their task - the search for errors in the translation of AI.
Also used a system of dual training. The first group of developers gave the AI to translate the Chinese text into English. Received the English text the second group translated back into Chinese, finding errors and inaccuracies. The results were downloaded to the system, which allowed the AI to learn additionally. Now the translator copes well with the news text in Chinese.
