Announcement of Nubia Z18 mini: thin frames and an excellent camera

Nubia does not change its traditions and opens a new flagship season to the younger model. At the presentation in China, the company introduced the smartphone Nubia Z18 Mini in an updated design.

What's new?

Unlike the predecessor Z17miniS, the device received a "high" 5.7-inch display with an aspect ratio of 18: 9 and a resolution of 2160x1080 pixels. Inside, there is a powerful 8-core chipset Snapdragon 660 with an AIE prefix, which the manufacturer decided to pay attention to the support of artificial intelligence. The smartphone adapts to the user's habits - the NeoSmart AI system with "smart" resource allocation ensures smooth and stable operation. The amount of RAM is 6 GB, versions with a 64/128 GB drive will be available.

The dual camera on the back of the Nubia Z18 mini includes a main 24-module with f / 1.7 optics and a fast hybrid auto focus (phase + contrast, 25 points). The second 5-megapixel module is used in portrait mode to blur the background. The front 5-megapixel camera supports unlocking on the face. The fingerprint scanner is also there.

The capacity of the built-in battery is 3450 mAh. There are Bluetooth 5.0, Wi-Fi 802.11 ac and GPS, but there is no NFC chip - the trouble of most Chinese manufacturers. The streamlined glass case with a metal frame measures 148x70.6x7.6 mm and weighs 153 grams. Nubia Z18 mini is available in five colors: black, white, blue, pink and lavender (Provence Edition).

How much is?

In China, the price of Nubia Z18 mini starts at $ 286 for a 6/64 GB version. The top version for 6/128 GB will cost $ 334, and for a special edition of the Provence Edition will have to pay back about $ 350. Sales on the home market start on April 19. There he will compete with the more expensive Oppo R11s and Xiaomi Mi Note 3, which has the usual aspect ratio of the screen, but there is NFC.

Nubia did not get carried away by Full-screen smartphone ZTE Nubia V18 wants to seem better than it is on the Z18 mini press photo, but in life they are still slightly larger:
