Samsung Galaxy A3 (2017) has been updated to Android 8.0 Oreo

Following the Galaxy A5 (2017), a new firmware based on Android 8.0 Oreo received the junior device of the Samsung Galaxy A3 line (2017).

What did you add?

The smartphone received an updated shell Samsung Experience 9.0 with support for application shortcuts for long clicking on the icon (function was back in Nougat, but on smartphones the company had to wait for Oreo). Developers added new styles for Always On Display, and the search for hyphas appeared in the keyboard. In the Samsung Cloud, you can now download any files and remotely copy the contents of the protected folder in case the smartphone is lost (by itself, if there is an internet connection).

After installing the update Samsung Galaxy A3 (2017) will limit the performance of applications in the background to save battery power. And the system-supported codecs AAC and Sony LDAC will provide Hi-Res audio via Bluetooth. April security fixes are also listed.

If there is no update?

At the time of writing the firmware was available only for the devices of the SER region (Russia) and only for some modifications. The rest need just wait a little.
