At the Build 2018 developers conference, Microsoft introduced a new application Your Phone, which brings computers to Windows 10 with mobile devices.
How it works?
Your Phone provides access to messages, photos and notifications from your smartphone. And to insert the desired picture into the document, it will be enough just to drag it from the application to the text editor. Microsoft reports support for Android and iOS, although not all features are supported on the iPhone. Similar developments we saw in Samsung, HP and Dell, but now this is implemented at the system level.
The application will soon be available in test builds of Windows 10. It is not known whether Your Phone will go to the next major update of the OS (Redstone 5).
For continuous work with a PC and a smartphone, Microsoft also promises deep integration with the Timeline feature in Windows 10. On Android, the action story will be available via launcher Microsoft Launcher, and on iOS-devices - in the Microsoft Edge browser.
At the same time, Microsoft did not say anything about the universal clipboard, which was presented at last year's Build conference. Apparently, the function is still not ready for release.
In fact, Microsoft creates an analog Handoff from Apple.
