ASUS announced the launch of the RT-BE88U dual-band router with WiFi 7 and AI features

ASUS is gearing up to launch a new dual-band WiFi gaming router with the model number RT-BE88U. A brief guide has already leaked online revealing information about the device ahead of its launch.

Here's What We Know

ASUS has included some AI features in this product category and advertises this router as "ASUS AI routing". With WiFi 7, this device supports 1376 Mbps with 2.4Hz and 5765 Mbps with 5GHz. The new router will include support for 10G WAN/LAN and 10G SFP+ ports, 2.5 Gbps WAN/LAN port, 3 2.5 Gbps LAN ports and 4 Gigabit LAN ports. This device also features a USB 3.2 Gen 1 port with support for 4K QAM (1.2x speed increase over its predecessor) and MLO (Multi-Link Operation), a DCIN port, a WPS port and a reset button.

Key specifications of the upcoming ASUS RT-BE88U

It is also stated that the new RT-BE88U features a 2.6GHz quad-core processor, 256GB of flash storage and 2GB of DDR4 memory. The device supports up to 34GB of WAN/LAN bandwidth. It also offers ASUS RangeBoost+ technology and some AI features including enhanced network security with AI, AI acceleration, AI WAN port discovery and game acceleration.

The new ASUS RT-BE88U will be announced in China on 27 March.
