Samsung announces improved security plan for Galaxy phones

Samsung has announced a significant improvement to its Galaxy phone protection plan, which includes unlimited battery replacement.

Starting in May this year, Samsung Care+ will provide Galaxy phone owners with a free battery replacement if the battery drops below 79% capacity.

However, along with these improvements, Samsung also announced an increase in the cost of its protection plan. Starting in May, the monthly fee for Samsung Care+ will increase by $2.

Samsung is placing restrictions on the ability to replace batteries for Galaxy phones for free. If the device has other damage other than battery issues that need repair, they must first be fixed before the battery is replaced.
