Shazam adds the ability to play songs without a phone on Wear OS watches

Shazam, the popular music recognition app, now offers Wear OS watch users the ability to enjoy music without being tied to an Android phone.

A new update to the app allows you to play selected songs on your smartwatch.

Users can now activate Shazam directly on their Wear OS watch and recognise music without the need to have their phone with them.

In addition, the new update allows users to work with Shazam offline when there is no internet access. The app will automatically synchronise the records of the selected songs as soon as a network connection is available.

The Shazam update is now available for download on the Google Play Store for Wear OS watch users.
