The Joker sequel was rated R (17+) for violence, profanity and nudity

We wrote that the first trailer for Joker: Madness for Two will be shown on 9 April. Now we know about the age rating of the sequel.

Here's What We Know

The film was rated "R" (17+), just like the 2019 Joker. The description mentions that this rating was given for strong violence, profanity, some sexuality and short nude scenes.

The film's poster was also published. It depicts Goaquin Phoenix's Joker and Harley Quinn, played by Lady Gaga. The poster also has the inscription "The whole world is a theatre". Interestingly, this phrase begins the monologue in William Shakespeare's play As You Like It.

When We Can Expect It

The premiere of the film The Joker: Madness for Two is scheduled to premiere on 4 October 2024.
