A Ninja Turtles film is in development: The Last Ronin with an age rating of R (17+)

In 2023, the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles were once again on everyone's lips thanks to the successful animated film Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Wars. And now Paramount intends to further develop the franchise, but not only in a cheerful way.

Here's What We Know

Paramount is developing the film Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Last Ronin. It will be an adaptation of the popular comic book that tells the story of the only surviving Turtle seeking revenge for the murdered brothers and Splinter. One of the features is that for some time it was not clear which of the Turtles survived.

The film is likely to be rated R (17+), which is quite atypical for a project about the Ninja Turtles. The script is written by Tyler Burton Smith (Boy Kills World).
