The Security Service of Ukraine has developed a new version of the Sea Baby maritime drone.

Here's What We Know

The information was shared by the speaker of the special service Artem Dekhtyarenko. The new drone is able to hit targets at a distance of up to 1000 kilometres. That is, almost anywhere in the Black Sea.

In addition, the version Sea Baby 2024 received an increased warhead (up to 1 tonne). Now the updated version of the drone is undergoing testing. The first batch of drones will consist of 35 units. By the way, their production was paid for by volunteers. The money was collected through the UNITED 24 platform.

Flashback

The Sea Baby drone was developed by specialists of the Security Service of Ukraine. In 2022-2023, such drones hit 9 Russian vessels, including the large landing shipOlenegorsk Miner, the oil tanker SIG, and the Crimean bridge.
