Samsung's Exynos 2500 processor promises to outperform Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 in terms of efficiency

Samsung has a new Exynos 2500 chipset in development, which is expected to be used in the Galaxy S25 series of smartphones. According to @PandaFlashPro, the Exynos 2500 will be more efficient than the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4, thanks to Samsung Foundry's second generation 3-nanometre process technology.

It is also claimed that the Exynos 2500 will have more performance than the Exynos 2400, while consuming less power. This could be the breakthrough for Exynos chipsets that everyone has been waiting for. Moreover, the superiority over Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 could give the Galaxy S25 series smartphones an edge over its competitors, most of which will be using the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 chipset.

Earlier this month, a report surfaced that Samsung is developing two versions of the new chipset: the Exynos 2500-A and Exynos 2500-B. The former will have an 8-core processor and will be limited to Galaxy smartphones, while the latter will have a 10-core processor and is aimed at Galaxy Tab and Galaxy Book devices. As for graphics, it will be the Xclipse 950 GPU, which should be more powerful than the Xclipse 940 in the Exynos 2400.

Details about the new chipset will likely be revealed closer to the launch of the Galaxy S25, which is expected in January 2025.
