Bloober Team is in charge of the development. The team approaches the remake with great care and respect for the original game. The developers are working closely with the creators of the original game to preserve the unique atmosphere of Silent Hill 2.

One of the features of the horror remake will be the standard third-person view. The game will also have a rebuilt combat system and improved facial animations to better convey the emotions of the characters.

The game is being developed on the Unreal Engine 5 game engine. Along with this, they are using Lumen for lighting and Nanite for level design. All this will help to update the foggy city and enhance its atmosphere.
