At the time of the announcement of Senua's Saga: Hellblade II in 2019, Ninja Theory had nothing but a trailer

At The Game Awards 2019, Ninja Theory announced Senua's Saga: Hellblade II. But as it turned out, this was the only thing the developers had at that time.

Here's What We Know

During the Kinda Funny Gamescast podcast, studio head Dom Matthews said that in 2019, Ninja Theory had only a trailer and nothing else, so it took about 4.5 years to develop the game.

After the first Hellblade, the studio made Bleeding Edge because it was not sure whether it would be able to make a sequel. However, after the acquisition by Microsoft in 2019, Ninja Theory started working on the sequel.

When We Can Expect It

Senua's Saga: Hellblade II will be released on 21 May on PC, Xbox Series, and Game Pass.
