Apple may partner with Novatek to produce ultra-thin iPhone 17 Air display

Apple is preparing to launch a new iPhone series in 2025, led by the iPhone 17 Air. According to a new report, the company may choose a supplier to make the next-generation ultra-thin design possible.

Taiwanese display driver IC (DDI) company Novatek plans to start mass production of its OLED TDDI technology in the second quarter of 2025. This could be a key step in creating thin displays for future iPhones.

While there is no official confirmation of Apple's cooperation with Novatek, analysts believe that the timing of the supply is consistent with Apple's plans to release the iPhone 17 Air. This iPhone is expected to be as thin as the iPad Pro M4.
