The situation in Los Angeles is becoming critical due to devastating wildfires that have forced hundreds of thousands of people to flee their homes. These fires affect not only local residents but also companies operating in the city, including Activision Blizzard and Riot Games.

Here's What We Know

Riot has addressed its employees, urging them to take care of themselves during this difficult time. The company's CEO, A. Dylan Judge, emphasised the importance of the team's health and safety, saying: "The most important thing right now is to take care of ourselves and each other."

Activision Blizzard is also actively monitoring the situation and providing resources to those affected by the fires. A company spokesperson said: "The safety and well-being of our employees is our priority."

Also, only those people responsible for the company's critical processes remained at Riot in Los Angeles.

These wildfires have already led to the closure of productions in Hollywood, including the Bad weather and fire in Santa Clara hinder production of Fallout 2: filming postponed, as well as changes in the schedule of prestigious film awards. The fire is consuming areas at a rate of more than five football fields per minute and threatening thousands of homes. While California is accustomed to summer wildfires, this situation has become exceptional.
