Redmi is planning to expand its K80 series of smartphones this year with the upcoming launch of the K80 Ultra, which could get significant improvements over its predecessor.

Here's What We Know

A recent leak provided by whistleblower Smart Pikachu has revealed key details about the K80 Ultra. The device is expected to feature a glass body and a metal mid-frame. Unlike the previous K70 Ultra, which featured an optical fingerprint sensor, the K80 Ultra will get an ultrasonic in-screen fingerprint sensor.

It is also learnt that the new smartphone will not have a periscopic camera as it is focused on performance rather than photography. In addition, it is reported that the most significant feature of the K80 Ultra will be its battery, which will be the largest among all Redmi smartphones. Its capacity could range from 6500 to 7000 mAh, which is significantly higher than the 5500 mAh of its predecessor.
