Asus recently revealed that it plans to announce its new flagship Zenfone 12 Ultra on 6 February 2025. The smartphone will appear a month earlier, compared to the previous model, which was announced in March last year.

Here's What We Know

Ahead of the launch, the smartphone was tested on Geekbench, where it was identified as "ASUSAI2501H". This model number was previously confirmed in the IMEI database.

In the Geekbench test, the Zenfone 12 Ultra scored 3036 points in the single-core test and 9656 points in the multi-core test. These results are as expected for the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset that will be installed in the device.

The prototype tested is equipped with 16GB of RAM, but other RAM options are possible. The smartphone runs Android 15, which is expected for a 2025 flagship device.

The Zenfone 12 Ultra is likely to be a counterpart to the ROG Phone 9 Pro, but without the gaming features and LEDs on the back. Another upgrade over the previous model is the 5,800mAh battery, which is 300mAh more than the Zenfone 11 Ultra. More details will be revealed as we get closer to the Zenfone 12 Ultra announcement.
