Korean free-to-play shooter The First Descendant from NEXON Studios has become one of the most talked about games of 2024, not only because of the resonance All coincidences are not accidental: gamers have accused the developers of The First Descendant of plagiarising Destiny 2 and other popular shooters, but also because of the heroines' revealing outfits.

The game was released in July 2024 and showed a great strat with 265 thousand peak online on Steam. But, as it often happens, the project is rapidly losing gamers over the long haul.

Here's What We Know

According to SteamDB statistics, The First Descendant's attendance in November-January rarely exceeds 12-13 thousand players. There is no information on other platforms, but it is hardly different from Steam.

NEXON spent at least 5 years on development and planned that the game will be relevant for the same amount of time, but, unfortunately, we can state that this is unlikely to turn out to be a reality.

The start of various events slightly increases the activity, but each time The First Descendant drops to the minimum values.

Most gamers and critics agreed that the game has nothing to offer besides the costumes of heroines, and against the background of many competitors in the genre it looks weak, faded and boring, although it is difficult to recognise it as a failure.

The First Descendant is available on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series.
