Mobile game developer Huuuge Games lays off 122 people and closes studios in the Netherlands and Finland

Huuuge Games, a Polish mobile game developer and publisher, has announced a 29% reduction in its staff, affecting 122 employees. Of these, 89 people are employed in the Polish studio, which is 21% of the total staff. The layoffs are expected to be completed by the end of February 2025.

In addition, Huuuge Games is closing its studios in the Netherlands and Finland and stops developing new games, focusing on social casinos. The company also stops funding Bananaz Studios, writing off assets worth $3.5 million.

Huuuge CEO Wojciech Wronowski said: "We deeply appreciate the contribution of all our employees and are taking steps to support those affected by this." He stressed that these decisions are part of a strategy to optimise operations and accelerate innovation.
