Last week, the gaming community spread information that employees of Bluepoint Games and Bend Studio allegedly learned about the cancellation of their live service projects at the same time as players. However, well-known journalist Jason Schreyer denied this information.

Here's What We Know

"I've seen this story gain momentum on Reddit, but it's not true," Schreier said. According to him, employees of both studios were informed about the cancellation of the projects before the public announcement.

The rumours started after Jeff Grubb made a statement on his Game Mess Mornings podcast, claiming that the studios learned about the cancellation at the same time as everyone else.

As a reminder, Sony cancelled two unreleased live-service projects by Bluepoint Games and Bend Studio, including a multiplayer game in the God of War universe. However, both studios will continue to work and look for new directions of development.
