Sonic the Hedgehog 3 jumps beyond cinemas: the highest-grossing film in the franchise is now available digitally

On 21 January, the digital release of the adventure film Sonic the Hedgehog 3 took place. It became available for purchase and rental in various online cinemas a month after the premiere.

The film was released on 20 December 2024 and has already become the highest-grossing film in the franchise, grossing over $422 million.

In the sequel, Sonic, Tails, and Knuckles team up to confront a powerful new enemy, Shadow, who has awoken after years of anabiosis.

The plot revolves around the team's attempts to stop Shadow from wreaking havoc in Tokyo, and reveals his tragic past. The film features emotional moments, intense battles and adventures that emphasise the themes of friendship and sacrifice.
