Skoda Elroq: series production of the electric car for 33,000 euros has started

Škoda Auto has announced the start of series production of the Elroq, which is the Czech brand's most affordable electric crossover. The new electric car is produced on the same assembly line as the new Enyaq and Octavia.
Here's What We Know
The all-new Škoda Elroq is produced at the Czech carmaker's main plant in Mladá Boleslav - the only Volkswagen Group facility in Europe where the Octavia with internal combustion engines (VW MQB platform) and the recently updated all-electric Enyaq (MEB platform) are produced side by side. This strategic decision allows the plant to quickly adapt to changes in consumer demand.

To free up production capacity in Mladá Boleslav, Octavia production has been partially relocated to the Kvasiny plant in 2024. This allows for the production of up to 600 Elroq cars daily.
The plant in Mladá Boleslav also produces battery systems for this and other Volkswagen Group brand vehicles on the MEB platform. In December 2024, the company reached the milestone of one million battery systems produced.
Škoda Elroq
The Elroq is Škoda's first all-electric model in the popular compact crossover segment and the brand's first production model in its signature Modern Solid design language. The model has a starting price of around €33,000 before any government subsidies are applied. Škoda says that in some European markets, it is one of the most affordable cars in its class when battery capacity and standard equipment are taken into account.

The Elroq is available with three battery modifications and several power configurations: from 125 kW to 210 kW. The top version of the Elroq 85 features a battery with 82 kWh (77 kWh of usable) capacity. The range is 581 kilometres in the WLTP cycle.
