The performance of Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra and iPhone 16 Pro Max were compared in Geekbench and here is who turned out to be more powerful

With the release of the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra, the Apple iPhone 16 Pro Max has a new competitor in the top smartphone category. And it looks like it's a serious competitor.

Technobloggers @TECHINFOSOCIALS compared the top smartphones Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra and Apple iPhone 16 Pro Max in Geekbench benchmark and showed the results on their X profile. The tests showed that the A18 Pro processor in the iPhone 16 Pro Max leads in single-core tests, scoring 3457 points against 3220 for the Galaxy S25 Ultra. However, in multi-core tests, the Galaxy S25 Ultra with Snapdragon 8 Elite processor significantly outperformed the iPhone 16 Pro Max, scoring 10223 points against 8553.

Both processors are manufactured by TSMC using the second-generation 3nm process. The Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy processor has high-performance cores clocked at 4.47 GHz, while Apple's A18 Pro chip runs at a maximum frequency of 4.05 GHz. The iPhone 16 Pro Max used in the tests runs on iOS 18.2.1, while the Galaxy S25 Ultra runs on Android 15 with One UI 7.
These results show that the Galaxy S25 Ultra outperforms the iPhone 16 Pro Max in multi-core tasks, making it a more powerful device for multitasking and intensive computing.
