In the future, Microsoft plans to extend this strategy to future games, in particular, from studios acquired as a result of high-profile acquisitions such as Bethesda and Activision Blizzard. Spencer stressed that these decisions are made on a case-by-case basis, focusing on what is best for the game and its community.
While exclusive Xbox titles will still play an important role in the ecosystem, Spencer's remarks highlight Microsoft's commitment to changing the gaming industry by breaking down barriers and prioritising accessibility.
