The Brutalist, directed by Brady Corbett, has expanded into a wide release after a limited run, grossing $2.9 million over its final weekend. The film's total box office receipts now stand at $11.5 million, of which $9.3 million came from the US domestic market and $2.2 million from the international market.

Here's What We Know

The Brutalist tells the story of a visionary architect and his wife who flee post-war Europe for the United States in 1947, where their lives are forever changed after meeting a mysterious wealthy client. The film runs 3 hours and 34 minutes and is rated R. And it is the timing that may scare people away from going to the screenings, which will lead to poor box office, even though the film is nominated for an Oscar.

Also, the film is not yet being shown in all countries, but this has not stopped it from claiming the highest film awards.
