Arkham City is safe: the number of players in Batman: Arkham Shadow has crossed 1 million
Batman: Arkham Shadow may not have been the long-awaited Arkham game that many fans have been waiting for over the past decade, but the VR-exclusive prequel from Camouflaj was a success nonetheless. After its release in October last year, the game received widespread critical acclaim and seems to have caught the attention of a significant number of players.

Here's What We Know
According to YouTuber QuestWithMatt on Twitter, the game's first achievement, called "False God", has been unlocked by more than 1 million players. Since this achievement can be obtained within the first few minutes of the game, this figure is probably a rough estimate of the total number of players.
It's also important to note that Arkham Shadow is included free with every Meta Quest 3S and Meta Quest 3 sold since the game's launch, so exact sales figures remain unknown.
