AMD processors dominate Germany with a 93% share, leaving Intel with paltry gains

AMD achieved a major success in Germany, capturing over 93% of processor sales revenue in a single day, leaving Intel with just 6.55%.

The main contribution to AMD's success was made by Ryzen 9800X3D processors, whose sales exceeded 8,000 units. At the same time, Intel managed to sell less than 200 Arrow Lake processors. One of the largest retailers in Germany reported that AMD sold 23615 processors on 25 January, accounting for 92.16% of the market, while Intel sold only 2010 processors, accounting for 7.84%.

The average selling price of AMD processors was €352, while Intel's was €290. As a result, AMD's revenue was 8.3 million euros and Intel's was almost 600 thousand euros. AMD processors such as Ryzen 5 7600X3D and Ryzen 7 7800X3D also performed well, selling 2,430 and 1,640 units respectively. There were no Intel processors in the top 20 best-selling processors list, and the best-selling Arrow Lake processor was the Core Ultra 7 265KF with sales of only 50 units.
