Ukraine to receive 5,000 LMM anti-aircraft missiles from the UK

Ukraine and the United Kingdom are launching a joint project under which our country will receive 5,000 LMM (Lightweight Multirole Missile) anti-aircraft missiles and technologies for their production.
Here's What We Know
The project was announced by the Minister of Defence of Ukraine Rustem Umerov. The project is being implemented with the support of Thales and is financed through a loan guaranteed by the British state agency UK Export Finance (UKEF).
In addition to the supply of missiles, the agreement provides for the localisation of their production in Ukraine and technology transfer. The project is scheduled to be completed by 2030. The production of 5,000 missiles will be carried out in the UK.
The LMM is a multi-purpose lightweight air-to-air and air-to-ground missile developed by the British company Thales. It is designed to engage air targets and, if necessary, armoured vehicles. The missile is 1.3 m long, 76 mm in diameter and weighs about 13 kg. It is equipped with a high-explosive or tandem fragmentation warhead.

The range of the missile is up to 8 km when launched from an airborne carrier and up to 6 km when launched from land or sea. The missile's speed exceeds Mach 1.5. The guidance system differs from version to version: laser targeting in version A, infrared GNSS in versions B and C, and inertial with GPS in version D.
The modular design allows the LMM to be adapted to different combat missions and different platforms, including drones, helicopters, light armoured vehicles, ships and land launchers.
