New confirmations have surfaced that Samsung Galaxy S26 smartphones will get Exynos 2600 chips

According to the latest reports, Samsung is planning to equip the Galaxy S26 series with a new Exynos 2600 processor developed on the basis of 2nm process technology. Previously, the company intended to use the Exynos 2500 for the Galaxy S25, but due to the low yield of the 3nm process, it had to opt for the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite. Now Samsung is making another attempt to introduce its own chipset in its upcoming Galaxy S26 flagship devices.
Here's What We Know
According to a report from Korea, Samsung Foundry's 2nm process technology yield rate has now reached 40 per cent, which will allow mass production of the Exynos 2600 to begin as early as November 2025. A 70-80% yield rate is typically required to start mass production and Samsung plans to achieve these results by the end of the year. In comparison, TSMC has already achieved 60% yield for a similar process.
Samsung is looking to improve processor and GPU performance, reduce power consumption and heat dissipation to compete with Qualcomm. The success of the Exynos 2600 could be an important milestone for the company and its technology.
