The increased bandwidth is expected to speed up app switching, app installation, as well as provide enhanced multitasking and significantly increase AI capabilities, which are the areas that Apple is actively developing as part of its global Apple Intelligence popularisation programme.
Digital Chat Station knows that the iPhone 18 will get the A20 Pro chip, which will reportedly be built using TSMC's third-generation 3nm process technology.
However, the iPhone 18 is still a thing of the future, for now Apple needs to address the component supply issue for the iPhone 17, which will reportedly move to 12GB of RAM as the standard for all models in the lineup.
