After several months of anticipation, Samsung has officially unveiled the new Galaxy S25 Edge smartphone - an ultra-thin device with top features and exquisite design.

Technical Characteristics

The Galaxy S25 Edge is Samsung's thinnest smartphone in the flagship segment, measuring just 5.8 mm thick, which is 30% thinner than the Galaxy S25 Ultra. It weighs 163 g, which is 25% less than the top-of-the-line model, and is almost the same as the base Galaxy S25.

The body is made of titanium, the screen is protected by Gorilla Glass Ceramic 2, and the back panel is protected by Gorilla Glass Victus 2. The smartphone has IP68 protection against dust and water and is available in three colours: Jetblack, Icyblue and Silver.

The Galaxy S25 Edge features a 6.7-inch QHD+ AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, an ultrasonic fingerprint scanner, the flagship Snapdragon 8 Elite chip, 12GB of RAM, and 256GB or 512GB of storage.

Camera.

The main camera is 200 megapixels, the same as the Galaxy S25 Ultra. There's also a 12MP ultra-wide-angle module, and a 12MP front-facing camera. There is no telephoto lens, which is one of the few compromises in this model.

Battery.

Samsung made sacrifices in battery life for the sake of the ultra-thin body: the battery has a capacity of only 3,900 mAh, which is significantly less than the rest of the series. Fast charging is limited to 25W, but wireless charging is supported.

Software.

The smartphone runs on Android 15 with One UI 7. Galaxy S25 Edge supports a full range of AI features from Samsung and Google, including tools for photos, translation, text generation, and smart control.

Pricing and availability

Galaxy S25 Edge is already available for pre-order. The model will go on sale from 30 May. The 256GB version costs $1,099
The 512GB version costs $1,219.
