Sony has officially unveiled its new flagship Xperia 1 VII, releasing it just before the launch of the WH-1000XM6 headphones. The novelty has received several significant updates compared to the Xperia 1 VI model.

Technical Characteristics

Performance and battery life

The Xperia 1 VII is powered by the new Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, which delivers a 40% increase in CPU, GPU and NPU performance compared to its predecessor. The 5,000mAh battery remains unchanged, but thanks to the chipset's improved energy efficiency, the phone can last up to two days on a single charge.

The Xperia 1 VII also supports up to four OS updates and six years of security updates.

One of the main updates is the camera system. Xperia 1 VII has a new 48 MP camera with an ultra-wide viewing angle. Its optical format is 1/1.56 inches, which is 2.1 times larger than the previous one in Xperia 1 VI. The camera supports macro shooting and shooting at a distance of up to 5 cm.

Xperia 1 VII has new AI Camerawork and Auto Framing features that allow you to shoot steady videos with sharp focus even without looking at the screen. Using image stabilisation technology and artificial intelligence, the smartphone automatically aligns the frame and tracks objects.
