UK and Germany to develop missile with a range of 2000 km

The United Kingdom and Germany will work together to develop a "deep strike" weapon with a range of more than 2,000 kilometres.
Here's What We Know
No technical details about the future development have been disclosed yet. It is not yet known whether it will be a cruise or ballistic missile. The long-range weapon is expected to be ready in the 2030s and will significantly exceed the range of the current British Storm Shadow missiles and German Taurus cruise missiles.
The UK Ministry of Defence said the new 2,000km precision strike system will be one of the country's most advanced developments to protect and strengthen NATO, as well as to strengthen the UK and European defence sectors.
The announcement follows the signing of a landmark Defence Cooperation Agreement between the two countries at Trinity House in October this year. The agreement was signed against the backdrop of Russia's invasion of Ukraine and aims to better protect the two countries' common defence interests.
UK Defence Secretary John Healey stressed that the UK and Germany have never been closer. He emphasised that this partnership will help create jobs, increase skills and attract investment across the UK and Germany.
