Samsung adds One UI 7 to Galaxy Tab Active 5: UI and camera improvements

Samsung continues to update its devices to One UI 7, and now it's time for the rugged Galaxy Tab Active 5. Users in South Korea were the first to receive the new version, but the update will soon be available in other countries.
Here's What We Know
The One UI 7 update based on Android 15 has the firmware number X306NKOU5BYEB and weighs about 3 GB. It also includes the April 2025 security patch. This is the first major OS update for this device.
How To Switch It On
To check for the update, go to Settings, Software Update, Download and Install.
The new features include a redesigned interface, separate pages for notifications and quick settings (with the option to combine them), improved widgets, new animations, and a new look for the battery and charging icons. The camera has become more convenient, with new filters and the Best Face feature.
Also added are a new Now Bar interface element, an updated photo and video editor (Samsung Studio), more options in Modes and Routines, an improved Game Booster, new battery protection options, and support for Google Gemini as the default assistant.
