A beta test for Gears of War: Reloaded may be coming soon

Microsoft and The Coalition studio may be preparing a beta test of the remaster of the famous shooter Gears of War, which was announced in early May.

Here's What We Know

Attentive gamers found in the SteamDB database page Gears of War: Reloaded Beta. It appeared on 15 May, and the last update was dated 22 May.

The name of the application does not leave any doubts about its purpose and we can only wait for the official information from the developers, which can be announced soon, because the release of Gears of War: Reloaded will take place on the 26th of August. The game will be released not only on PC and Xbox Series, but also for the first time in the history of the series will appear on PlayStation. From day one, the shooter will be available on Game Pass and Xbox Cloud Gaming (with Xbox Play Anywhere).

As a reminder, the updated 2006 game will feature the following improvements:

  • 4K resolution;
  • 60 FPS in the story campaign;
  • 120 FPS in multiplayer mode;
  • support for HDR, Dolby Vision and 7.1.4 Dolby Atmos and 3D sound;
  • VRR technology support;
  • 4K assets and enhanced textures;
  • enhanced visual effects, shadows and reflections;
  • super resolution with improved anti-aliasing;
  • no loading screens during the story campaign;
  • cross-play and cross-progression on all platforms.
