A reputable Digital Chat Station insider has shared exclusive information, this time regarding Apple's plans.
Here's What We Know
On his Weibo page, Digital Chat Station reported that Apple is testing a 200-megapixel sensor for the iPhone.
In the comments, he explained that the new sensor is intended "most likely for the main camera" and apparently he means the main main main camera module, not the telephoto lens module.
Well, we won't be able to see if Digital Chat Station is right until autumn 2026 at the earliest, as sales of the iPhone 17 line will start in September-October this year and there's no chance that Apple will decide to replace such an important component in such a short time.
