The Croatian company DOK-ING, together with Germany's Rheinmetall, presented the Komodo drone, a tracked monster among ground drones. The machine is impressive in size and designed for combat, logistics, and evacuation.

Here's What We Know

The presentation took place as part of a publication by Hrvatski Vojnik. Komodo is a multifunctional unmanned ground vehicle (UGV) designed for military and civilian tasks, from logistics to engineering breakthroughs.

The drone moves on a five-roller tracked chassis of its own design. A rotary camera can be seen on the nose, as well as a distinctive rectangular structure, which is likely to be a telescopic mast for better visibility.

The size is impressive, it is probably the heaviest ground drone of its class in Europe. In addition to the main camera, the body has viewing cameras on the sides and rear. For control, both a stationary command post based on a Volvo truck and a compact remote control are provided.

In short, work on Komodo continues in partnership with the German giant Rheinmetall: back in November 2024, the parties agreed to jointly promote the project.
