According to analyst firm Omdia, in the first quarter of 2025, Samsung became the leader in OLED TV sales in North America for the first time, overtaking LG. Samsung's share in this market was 50.3%, while LG's was 34.5%.

Here's What We Know

In the first quarter of 2024, the situation was different: LG controlled 44.2% of the OLED market, while Samsung had 36%. Over the year, Samsung managed to increase its share by 12.5%, significantly reducing the gap with its competitor.

Samsung's success is attributed to the popularity of its QD-OLED TVs, which feature Samsung Display's cutting-edge panels. The company has recently introduced a new line of OLED models - the S95F, S90F and S85F - which offer improved picture quality and new features. These TVs have already received favourable reviews from customers and will help Samsung maintain its market leadership.

In addition to TVs, Samsung is actively developing the market for QD-OLED panels for gaming monitors, which are already used by several well-known brands. Demand is also growing for Samsung ISOCELL cameras with a resolution of 200 megapixels.

2025 promises to be a successful year for Samsung and its divisions in various electronics segments.
